Here Comes the Big Parade!

Recently the Colorado Workforce Center in Rocky Ford asked me to represent my agency in the 131st annual Arkansas Valley parade. In this parade most people drive tractors to represent their company or interest group. I thought this to be appropriate and I thought I would best represent my agency and type of operation I run out here in the Arkansas Valley with a lawn tractor. The girls in the office thought I would also well represent my agency by wearing an old pair of overalls, a straw hat, and some rubber boots. So I did. The day started out very nice but just as I was told to go I was greeted with a torrential down-pour. So as you will see here I am soaked. This is the beginning of the parade. I had at least 4 more blocks to go. I think they chose the largest stretch of street they could. -Ben

Girls Camp

Here are the Young Women of the La Junta Ward! They are such great girls and we had a wonderful time. The Location for the camp was at the San Isabel Scout Ranch. It sure was beautiful. And we did not get eaten by a bear, which I guess is a lucky thing since there are bear all over the place up there.

On the first night I called Ben and told him how much I missed him. So he surprised me the next day and came to visit me. Isn't he the sweetest husband? All of the Young Women were so impressed by him, they kept talking about how great he is, that he would drive so far just to spend a couple of hours with me. I am real Lucky!

Ben and the Tractor

You know Ben and his love for the tractors. Well we borrowed a Jon Deere from the neighbors and he has been on it for the past two days. He sure loves his tractors! He is actually excited to do the chores now ;)

Ben even let Chayla drive

Camping!!! You know we Love it

We went to a place near Cuchara, CO. Found a back road and drove till a good spot was found. Maggie loved it because she could just run free all the time. And we had a great time eating good food and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
