Meet Maggie

After getting rid of the stray cats we decided we needed some help keeping them away. So we went to the local pound and adopted Maggie. She was dropped off by someone who had too many dogs and seemed to be a little rough with them. She is a Chocolate lab/pit bull. She is about 10 months old and is very sweet and obedient. She has responded well to training (mostly by Chayla) and she is a good protector. She lets us know every night right when our furnace is going to kick on. What did we ever do with out that? But most importantly she is a good companion and I don't have to worry about Chayla being home alone in the middle of nowhere with no protection. Oh yeah and she likes to sleep a lot.

The Cat problem solved...for reals this time

After constructing the cat house, the cats took no interest in it and continued to harass us and the Mich (our cat). Then Micci got hurt by them, which is generally just the way it goes when you have more than one animal. But her wounds became quickly infected and we had to pay $140 vet bill. Hurt my cat shame on you, hurt my pocket book shame on me. So we eradicated the pests once and for all. We trapped them both and took them to the neighbor's farm two miles down the road not to be seen again.

Sweet Home Colorado

Colorado is a diverse place. One days travel could find you from the highest mountains to the lowest plains. This is a little movie I made showing our home and a few pictures of our recent travels within the state.
